Jonas Gerard Fine Art in Asheville's River Arts District

Jonas Gerard Fine Art located at 240 Clingman Ave. in Asheville, NC will participate in the River Arts District Studio Stroll on Saturday and Sunday, November 8 & 9 from 10am to 6pm.

In the tradition of abstract expressionism and in his latest abstracted landscapes, Jonas Gerard creates bold and colorful paintings that resonate with the energy obvious in every brush stroke. He allows himself the freedom to take risks which create happy accidents that open the non-judgmental space for letting the painting go where it wants to go. The result is a must see to believe.

The River Arts District artists open their studios to the public twice a year during the second weekend in June and November. This Studio Stroll provides a unique opportunity to see and hear the sights and sounds of creativity surrounding you as you stroll through more than 90 artist studios, most within walking distance. A wide array of fine art and craft can be purchased, including paintings, sculpture, functional and decorative ceramics, glass, jewelry, furniture and much more. Come meet the artists, have a cup of coffee at Clingman Café and stop next door to visit Jonas' studio and gallery. There will be live jazz performed by the Mark Guest Quartet throughout the afternoon on Saturday, November 8 in the open air entrance to the Gallery.

On Friday, November 7, before the Stroll officially starts, there will be a special preview at the Gallery from 5 to 8 pm as part of a special touring event to the River District. Several studios will be open later on Friday evening. Come in to the Gallery, enjoy refreshments and see some wonderful art at your leisure.

Jonas Gerard Fine Art is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm. The gallery exhibits the work of Jonas Gerard and the photography and paintings of Linda Greenup.
