This continues to be much more of a partnership than a customer-vendor relationship. We're trying to listen carefully and to incorporate feedback every step of the way. Working with St. John has already helped make us a better software provider.
Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) October 22, 2008
Cielo MedSolutions, a provider of healthcare software and web applications, today announced that St. John HealthPartners has signed a purchase agreement to acquire licenses of the web-based Cielo Clinic™ software.
Cielo Clinic is a clinical quality management system (CQMS) that proactively manages the care needs of medical practice and health system patients through a patient registry, a clinical decision support engine and population management functionality.
St. John HealthPartners is the physician hospital organization comprised of St. John Health and more than 2,200 physicians on its local medical staffs. St. John Health, a ministry of Ascension Health, is comprised of seven hospitals and more than 125 medical facilities in Southeast Michigan. The newly-signed agreement allows St. John HealthPartners to acquire the Cielo Clinic software not only for the primary care clinics operated by St. John Health, but for the network of affiliated, private medical practices also included in St. John HealthPartners.
"We began adopting Cielo Clinic in 2007, and have now rolled out the software to 23 sites with more than 250 clinicians," commented William Isenstein, Executive Director of St. John HealthParters. "It's become clear that all of our primary care providers, ranging from family medicine to obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine and pediatrics, can greatly benefit from incorporating Cielo Clinic into their clinical operations."
"Cielo Clinic is a tool to reach the Holy Grail for a primary care physician: proactive preventive care," said Cherolee Trembath, MD, chairperson of family medicine at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. "I can go to one source to find all my patients with a particular condition, rather than counting by hand or going in and out of many different databases."
"We're working really closely with the St. John HealthPartners team," remarked Jim Price, Cielo MedSolutions' chairman and cofounder. "This continues to be much more of a partnership than a customer-vendor relationship. We're trying to listen carefully and to incorporate feedback every step of the way. Working with St. John has already helped make us a better software provider."
