DeviceVM, a San Jose, CA-based company, and the maker of the award-winning Splashtop™ instant-on environment, announced that Splashtop is available for Intel® Atom™ processor-based devices such as netbooks and nettops, and will join the Moblin.org project by leveraging Moblin technologies, optimized for the Intel Atom processor, to deliver a ground breaking quick-boot and power efficient environment for Internet-centric devices. Moblin is an open source community project focused on building a Linux-based software platform optimized for Intel Atom processor-based devices such as netbooks, nettops, Mobile Internet Devices, and In-vehicle infotainment systems.
