We have designed our technology in a way that makes it very easy for people to match what they need to what they are offering in exchange

The launch of favorpals, a world without money!
Favorpals is now open to the public, offering an alternative method to obtain necessities for life without the use of money. Embodied by its slogan, "A world without money," members can trade services in exchange for other services without the use or even mention of monetary value. Uniquely positioned for our challenging economic times, Favorpals represents a substitute to the monetary economy that allows exchanges directly between people.
"Favorpals is an online, social networking community in which services are exchanged for other services and/or goods," said Zeo Solomon, Favorpals' co-founder. "Craftsmen, artists, laborers, professionals -- in fact anyone with skills or goods to trade can swap for the services or items they need with anyone in the Favorpals community. Because of the wide reach of the Web, users can make an exchange with someone around the corner or even a continent away."
"We have designed our technology in a way that makes it very easy for people to match what they need to what they are offering in exchange," said Amir Razmara, Favorpals' co-founder. Favorpals will also provide its users with an intelligent rating system in order to make sure the site members are recognized for their good deeds. "In this way, we've put a modern twist on the age-old barter system," said Mr. Razmara.
Favorpals is especially meaningful when a swap or "favor exchange" crosses the divide between people from different walks of life, where both parties benefit equally regardless of class or status. Favorpals is as much a social movement as it is an alternative economy. Favorpals membership is free and all exchanges are private and secure.
Favorpals is a San Francisco-based start-up maintaining offices at 300 Beale Street.
