Giving everyone a fair chance

The cost of the OLPS fits in line with the goal to close the gap in achievement between those from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers.

The OLPS is designed to aid and encourage digital learning, which OLPS believes should be available to everyone, no matter what their circumstances. OLPS will therefore donate laptops to underprivileged children from disadvantaged areas for learning and will work with Corporations and private individuals who wish to contribute to this worthy cause to benefit school-aged students.

The vision of the OLPS

The vision of the OLPS project is to help develop computer literacy in children in order to cultivate skills for the 21st century and enable them to make a more valued contribution to the future economy and society. Proficiency at ICT has never been so important, and fluency and familiarity with computers is essential to nurture the future digital generation.

The importance of IT in education has been recognized right from the early days of the internet and personal computers:
Technology has revolutionized the way we work and is now set to transform education. Children cannot be effective in tomorrow's world if they are trained in yesterday's skills.

Computer based technology is at the heart of education. OLPS wants Children, Schools and Families to have the commitment to improving learning for all students. One-to-one access to a laptop has been a dream that until now has been cost-prohibitive. The research and development by OLPS is leading the world and has allowed this dream to become a reality with Corporate support.

"OLPS is committed to bringing togeather access to education through technology and the opportunities of the 21st century to children around the world," said Bill Clinton, President of OLPS.

If you or your organization is interested in donating 100 or more OLPS laptops, we are currently accepting Corporate Partners, Support Companies and donations to assist us in our mission.

The vision of the OLPS project is for every student in the world to have their own laptop. With computing playing such a huge part of modern day life, it is essential to familiarize children with IT from an early age and to show them the vast range of tools and resources available to them.

As well as being a subject in its own right, IT is a common thread that can be used in every subject across the whole curriculum. In the 21st century it is an essential that IT is taught as a fundamental skill which then can be used to improve a child's learning, to offer a more engaging and interactive education, and to equip the next generation with the skills they need to excel in the business world.

Your generous donations are accepted and will help us in our mission.
