MysticFiction.com Inspires Teen Girls to Look for Gold

Author Mary Osborne Creates Online Alchemy Lab to Conjure Up Dreams

Chicago (PRWEB) October 24, 2008 -- Author Mary Osborne has launched http://www.MysticFiction.com, an interactive site inspiring young women to achieve their dreams and learn about the mystical world of alchemy.

More than just an author website, mysticfiction.com engages teens with a variety of alchemy-related activities. Included on the site are free printouts of magical symbols for iron-on transfers, a quiz, recipes from the novels, and instructions on how to make an alchemy jar.

"I want young women to know they are powerful and have the ability to succeed in life," explains Osborne. The inspiration for the site came from Osborne's book, THE IMAGE MAKER. Set in Renaissance Italy, this novel tells the story of a gutsy girl who defies convention and sets out to be a painter at a time when women were expected to become housewives or nuns. With the help of an ancient, mysterious text, Osborne's heroine journeys into the long lost world of alchemy and discovers the key to realizing her ambition.

Like the heroine of her book, Osborne says that visitors to her site can learn the secrets of alchemy, begin the process of self-transformation, and work towards achieving their true destinies.

Recommended: visit the site and view the pink and blue, Warhol-esque Hermes tee-shirt printout and discover what the Greek god has to do with alchemy.
