The Arizona Grand Resort, formerly the Pointe South Mountain Resort, today announced the launch of its Grand Planners Deal for meeting planners valid through December 31, 2008 that offers resort guests the opportunity to experience what's new since the resort began its $52 million renovation.

Meeting planners who book the Grand Planners Deal and complete a meeting by December 31, 2008 will receive a 12% commission, one (1) free round of golf for each attendee, 20% off A/V rental, 20% off spa treatments, meal package starting at $80 per person per day and one (1) hour resort-hosted reception.

Arizona Grand Resort offers over 117,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space in Phoenix, along with 56 technologically advanced meeting rooms ranging from 500 to 20,000 square feet. From grand ballrooms to outdoor terraces, the resort offers the flexibility, customization and setting to meet the needs of any group function.

Following the purchase of the resort by Grossman Company Properties in 2006, a three-phase renovation process began in 2007 with exterior building and landscaping enhancements, a new property lighting concept as well as guest suite enhancements. Total resort renovations, scheduled for completion in 2009, will include all 640 guest suites, restaurants, spa, a redesigned golf course and a brand new resort lobby complete with lobby bar and specialty restaurant. The former lobby will be transformed into a meeting/convention check-in center exclusively used for groups.

Now available are Arizona Grand Resort's 640 newly re-designed, residential style, all-suite accommodations, and access to recreational activities at the Arizona Grand Golf Course, the full-service Arizona Grand Spa & Athletic Club, nearby shopping and the natural beauty of the 17,000-acre South Mountain Preserve.

Additionally, 52 new one- and two- bedroom Arizona Grand Villas are being added that will offer additional luxury suites complete with breakfast bar, flat screen TV's, private balconies, and even dishes, utensils and glassware, and showcase golf course, water or city views.

"We're making history with these grand changes and are confident that our unprecedented revitalization will broaden our appeal to group travelers," said Arizona Grand Resort Managing Director Richard Behr.
