Think for Yourself, Do What You Love, and the World Will Change
Santa Rosa, CA (PRWEB) October 24, 2008
Singer, Songwriter, Physicist and Activist Sky Nelson has released his debut music video, "We Are the Ones (We've Been Waiting for)". The video encourages all citizens to participate in public life, specifically the 2008 Election season, and honors all those who have done so. The video, made in Sonoma County, has spread widely since its publication last week, and has been given directly into the hand of Barack Obama himself.
"Thanks for the great clip - I actually got goose bumps listening to it." L.D.
"This is soul food for the days ahead of us!" B.P.
Created with just a couple hundred dollars, the services of the Community Media Center of Santa Rosa, and the help of local volunteers, this video epitomizes the spirit of engagement and public service that has been reawakened in American society in recent days.

Sky Nelson is living proof that his own life experiment, "Think for Yourself, Do What You Love, and the World Will Change", can cause amazing things to happen. You wouldn't necessarily expect to see physics, music, activism, and spirituality coming together as one solution to the many global crises we face, yet Sky has integrated these four fields of lifelong study into one cohesive, applicable theory about the nature of life in the 21st-century.
Sky is a singer/songwriter with a BA in Physics from UC Berkeley and nearly a decade of experience teaching physics in high school and college classrooms. Sky's 'people experience', his quest for a sane society, and his own quest for inner peace come together in a diversified approach to effective living. As Music Director for Global Heart Spiritual Center (a Science of Mind community), he focuses on freeing human potential through the expression of music. Sky's recent music video and continuing work as a volunteer for Barack Obama's Campaign for Change display his passion for engaging people at a deeply human and empowering level. And at the core of his life experiment is, strangely, an original theory on the properties of light. This physics theory, reminiscent of the philosophy of Science of Mind, serves as a guide for how to take effective action. Sky's ongoing work in politics and the music business have been deeply affected by the application of this theory.
