Heart surgeon pens cautionary tale about kingdom of hell on earth.

Following resuscitation from a heart attack, acclaimed author M.S. Rawlings, M.D., became fascinated by the subject of what happens to us when we die. In his first new release from Christian self-publisher Xulon Press, Until the End of Time (paperback, 978-1-60477-856-4), the author examines the concept of end-time religious deception and the development of a one-world religion.

In this gripping novel, two medical school friends on a lecturing circuit, Chris Parker and Rolf Cranston, must travel through webs of intrigue, revolution, and cartels to seek the solution to a baffling riddle that would conceivably control world governments. Their benign adventures turn into malignant profiles as a mysterious Herr Doctor Schmidt modifies the spawning of an ideal utopia, the future Tower of Babylon, into a veritable kingdom of hell on earth.

Rawlings, the physician to former president Dwight D. Eisenhower, says that his book addresses "current deceptions, morals, and immorality" and that it will help readers "avoid becoming lost with other 'touted' religions."

The author, a leading heart surgeon, has written a number of books on the near-death experience, and if there is one thing his and his patients' experiences show, it is that not everyone goes to heaven when they die. His previous books, which include the critically acclaimed Beyond Death's Door and To Hell and Back, include stories of patients who were resuscitated on the operating table and who had been to hell. In this, his latest publication, he hopes to raise questions about the religious deception that is dooming many to an eternal destination of fiery torment.

Xulon Press, a part of Salem Communications Corporation, is the world's largest Christian publisher, with more than 5,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order Until the End of Time through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors.
