No Bidders, Just Buyers: New E-Commerce Marketplace 4Sale4Now Goes Live in November

The new e-commerce site's novel pricing model gives consumers the convenience of fixed prices while providing sellers with the opportunity to dynamically capitalize upon the demand for their products to maximize returns.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 25, 2008 -- 4Sale4Now, a new online marketplace, is poised to change the face of e-commerce when its site leaves beta and goes live November 1, 2008.

Designed as an alternative to traditional auction e-commerce websites like eBay, 4Sale4Now utilizes a unique pricing system where discounts are increased with the duration of the listing. This approach offers consumers the prospect of better deals by the day while simultaneously protecting them from sudden price increases, a common pitfall of auction-based shopping. The model also benefits sellers, who determine the discount range, increments, and duration for their listings, and consequently, have greater latitude to dynamically capitalize upon the demand for their products compared to fixed-price marketplaces.

In anticipation of its launch, the company has already recruited sellers to its storefront. Items on the site range from appliances and electronics to travel and entertainment.

4Sale4Now's launch comes at a time when the auction model of e-commerce is coming into question. eBay's recent posting of its first quarterly sales decline, combined with the closure of Yahoo! Auctions in the United States and Canada in 2007, are leading some, like Information Week's Alexander Wolfe, to wonder whether consumers are "all auctioned out." More important is eBay's shift towards larger sellers and a traditional fixed-price system, which has left both buyers and sellers, particularly small-scale retailers, disgruntled. Increased fees and regulations are forcing many small and mid-scale sellers to look elsewhere for alternatives; meanwhile, a greater number of sellers are offering their goods at inflated fixed prices, making it difficult for consumers to find a fair bargain on the site.

"We believe this will revolutionize the online marketplace and change how people buy and sell on the Internet. With online auction sites like eBay, the price goes up. With our site, the price goes down. Our concept is all about leaving the site knowing that you found a great deal," said 4Sale4Now founder, Joe Elias.
