MyCommittee.com Inc. (http://www.mycommittee.com), an innovator in committee and meeting management software announced today that they have released the first major update to their web application MyCommittee 2.0. MyCommittee is a web based tool that allows for the creation and sharing of meeting agendas, minutes and documents and provides committee members with a central location for the management and communication of committee work. MyCommittee is not another online web conferencing tool or social network site but is specifically designed for committees and boards.
What's new in MyCommittee 2.1
There are a number of important and requested new features in this release:
The easy-to-use agenda and minutes wizards are back as an integral part of MyCommittee. The wizards that made V1 of MyCommittee so popular but were lacking in the latest version have been completely redesigned to reflect the look and feel as well as the functionality of version 2. The 'quick edit' mode for agendas and minutes is still available to anyone who is used to or prefers editing everything on one page.
Another major new feature is the easy access for new members. From this version on you can allow new members to view agendas and/or minutes without logging in or even without signing up. This feature can be activated from the committee settings page.
Registered members now have the option to get notified immediately when new comments are posted or receive a daily or weekly digest of committee activity.
A new 'Quick Poll' tool is added to the productivity tools section. You can now get instant feedback or votes from your members. After you create and save a quick poll, a notification email containing a link to the poll is sent to all members. Quick polls can be public or private (only you can view the results) and can have a closing date.
The user interface received an considerable facelift and reorganization. A larger font is now used across the site and the navigation is improved by logically grouping commonly used functions or actions and replacing icons with easier to understand text links.
Many smaller improvements have been implemented to make MyCommittee even more efficient and more fun to use.
Coming soon to MyCommittee will be an integrated message section, completely eliminating the use of corporate or private email to communicate committee related information amongst members.
On the planning for 2009 is a downloadable desktop application allowing users to download/upload agendas and minutes for 'offline' editing. Another main feature of this application will be to download and archive historic (indexed) committee information.

The MyCommittee application is available at http://www.mycommittee.com. A free version is available for smaller organizations or to evaluate the technology. Pricing starts at $19US with other plans at $49, $99 and $149. Plan levels are based on the number of committees, file storage and advanced features.
