Bar of 100% natural soap is a collectors item for the 2008 presidential campaign. Available in several varieties, and a portion of proceeds goes to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which supports injured troops.

The enthusiasm and excitement surrounding this election, and especially Sen. Obama's candidacy, is a great inspiration for innovation

The Obama Bar is more than just a bar of soap. It is an entrepreneurial endeavor that offers 100 percent natural ingredients and helps support injured troops and their families.

Veteran Dallas businessmen Craig Tiritilli and Salah Boukadoum established the bar in October to capitalize on the excitement surrounding Barack Obama's presidential campaign and to help their favorite charity - the Yellow Ribbon Fund. They believed that the concept was so strong that the Obama Bar would succeed despite the economic hard times.

"The enthusiasm and excitement surrounding this election, and especially Sen. Obama's candidacy, is a great inspiration for innovation," Tiritilli said. "Our research found a receptive market, and when somebody said we should use 'The Audacity of Soap' as a tag line, we knew we had a winner. We also knew we had a high-quality soap product, and believed that the tie-in to the election made an excellent way to support the military that continues to fight for our freedoms.

The company is also offering a free Mini-Bama Bar to anyone who supports the Obama campaign with a contribution or by volunteering. The bars are available online at http://www.MyObamaBar.com.
Their Obama Bar's platform is:

*Support our troops: A portion of Obama Bar proceeds will benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which provides support to returning injured veterans and their families while they recuperate at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. For information, visit http://www.yellowribbonfund.com.

*Save the planet: The Obama Bar is handmade soap comprising only safe, truly natural ingredients that are nourishing for the skin and smell great. Synthetic chemicals, preservatives, petroleum products, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances are never used in the Obama Bar. Also, all orders are shipped with recycled packaging materials.

*Freedom of choice: Consumers can choose a blue bar (Blue State Bluebonnet), a red bar (Prickly Pear Progress) or a purple bar (Global Lemongrass Grape), among others. And, regular-size bars and mini-bars are available.

*Incentives for savings: All-natural, handmade soaps can cost $15 per bar or more at retail outlets. The Obama Bar offers significant savings for 100% of the people.

The Obama Bar is in no way connected to the Obama campaign or the Democratic National Committee. In fact, Tiritilli and Boukadoum researched the possibility of a McCain Bar and a Palin Bar. However, Tiritilli said, they found that the market for such products was limited.

High-quality soap, support for injured troops and a novelty item that could become a collector's items in two weeks or eight years are why the makers of the Obama Bar believe it is cleanliness you can believe in. Bars available at http://www.MyObamaBar.com.

Tiritilli and Boukadoum are available for interviews about the product and for stories about campaign-related merchandising.
