Employers contact us when they are having difficulty finding qualified staff to meet their needs
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 31, 2008
InterExchange, Inc., a non-profit organization with more than 40 years of experience in international cultural exchange, is offering free breakfast seminars to show employers and HR managers how international interns can be the solution to their staffing needs. Two seminar dates available in New York City: November 6 (downtown location), or November 13 (midtown location).
Employers of all sizes agree that international interns can diversify their workforce and meet specific needs within their organizations.
"Employers contact us when they are having difficulty finding qualified staff to meet their needs," says Larry Rothchild, InterExchange's Director of Business Development. "U.S. companies like hiring international interns for project-based positions because they can stay on the job from 1-18 months, which is typically longer than U.S. college interns can stay." He adds, "International interns are also highly motivated and often fluent in at least two languages, which is a great bonus for companies that have overseas offices or customers."
The seminars will cover all of InterExchange's staffing options available to employers but will specifically highlight the no-fee internship placement service offered by InterExchange's Career Training USA program. Lynne Sebeck, Career Training USA Program Manager adds, "We offer employers an individualized, no-fee service for finding high-quality international interns. We work with businesses of all sizes, but this program is particularly ideal for small to medium-sized companies since we do most of the legwork. However we'd really like to see all interested employers come out to the seminars to learn how this program can work best for them.
There is no cost to attend these complimentary breakfast seminars. Employers can choose from two convenient seminar locations in New York City: November 6 at our downtown location, or November 13 at our midtown location. Pre-registration is required.
The seminars will cover the following:
- The J-1 Visa process and the U,S. State Department's regulations on hiring international interns
- Key questions employers should ask themselves to determine if international interns are right for their company
- Tax benefits and other payroll advantages to hiring international interns
- Sample internship training plans
- How to build a successful ongoing international internship program within your company
