Millerbernd Laser and AAA Galvanizing Collaborate to Bring More Value to Customers

Reduced transportation costs and faster turnaround provides competitive edge.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) October 30, 2008 -- The opening of AAA Galvanizing plant eight months ago in Winsted, MN, has created an opportunity for collaboration with longtime Winsted resident and metal fabricator Millerbernd Laser. The close proximity of the two companies has executives from both outfits excited about the chance to pass the savings of their local transactions to customers. "With the cost of transportation skyrocketing, it's great to have a key supplier located less than 1500 feet from our door steps," states Farid Currimbhoy, senior vice president of Millerbernd Laser.

Both companies are aggressively attempting to increase their market share in this slowing economy, and this new collaborative effort has created a new value-proposition for both of their customers. Kevin Irving, regional manager of AAA Galvanizing, said, "Our lower costs and quick turn-around due to the convenient proximity of our companies will allow Millerbernd to come in below budget and ahead of schedule."

Millerbernd's Laser's state-of-art laser, fabrication and robotic welding services already makes them among the most versatile and competitive fabricators in the industry. Millerbernd's three Trumpf lasers and two robotic welders are extremely reliable and fully integrated with Millerbernd's production planning and operating systems which ensuring on-time delivery and quality control for their customers. "AAA Galvanizing only enhances our ability to deliver on-time as companies become more cost sensitive and reduce inventories," Mr. Currimbhoy elaborates.

The opening of the AAA Galvanizing-Winsted was their 20th plant. Besides servicing the local fabricators, the purpose of the Winsted plant was built to offer improved service to a wider range of customers in the Twin Cities metro area. AAA's hot dip galvanizing process provides the industry with virtually maintenance-free protection, long term function, proven durability and cost effectiveness. Some of the products that undergo the galvanizing process include cell phone towers, wind generators, scaffolding, bridge and highway components, processing equipment, struts, building components, agricultural equipment, material handling systems, handrails and ladders.

Both companies are located in Winsted, Minnesota. For information about Millerbernd Laser visit www.millerberndlaser.com or call 320.485.2685 and ask for Greg Jenum. For more information about AAA Galvanizing visit www.aaagalvanizing.com or call Kevin Irving at 815-723-5000.
