We are pleased to join the efforts of eMindful and Duke Integrative Medicine in providing action-oriented support to the many people being affected by our current economic situation
Vero Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 30, 2008
eMindful.com, a web-based mindfulness training resource, along with Duke Integrative Medicine, is offering a series of free, online classes teaching stress reduction techniques intended to counteract the effects of financial losses, concerns related to job layoffs, and uncertainty about the future to people affected by the global credit crisis and potential recession. The classes are being taught by experts from Duke Integrative Medicine and conducted in virtual classrooms on eMindful.com where students can see, hear, and interact -- live -- with their teachers and fellow class participants.
In addition, Hummingbird Coaching Services is now offering a month of health, life, or parenting coaching to participants in the eMindful classes at no charge. The stress reduction techniques taught in the eMindful group setting, along with Hummingbird's one-on-one interaction with a personal coach, makes a powerful combination in helping people move forward in a positive way -- even in the face of enormous external stressors.
"We are pleased to join the efforts of eMindful and Duke Integrative Medicine in providing action-oriented support to the many people being affected by our current economic situation," says Sean Slovenski, CEO of Hummingbird Coaching Services, Inc. "Our coaching services have helped thousands of people through stressful situations in the past and we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to offer a helping hand to people who can really use our services now."
Hummingbird's coaching services are unique in that there is unlimited access to a personal coach using web-based communications. Hummingbird also has a wealth of online resources related to stress management, improving health and fitness, enhancing parenting skills and building better personal relationships -- all areas that come "under siege" when people are faced with potential job loss, financial pressures, and economic uncertainty. Hummingbird's coaching and online resources will be made available at no charge, for a period of one month, to people participating in the eMindful / Duke Integrative Medicine classes and who also wish to participate in the coaching program.
Coaching is an important support mechanism for developing a personalized goal-oriented action plan and seeing that plan through implementation. But coaching is much more than that: a study published in the International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and Mentoring found participants in a UK finance organization had lower levels of anxiety and stress after an average of 3.8 coaching sessions when compared to a control group of employees from the same organization. A number of additional studies support the link between coaching and reduced stress. For more information on these studies, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Email email@example.com if you are interested in joining one of the complimentary stress reduction classes. Please include your name as well as the class and time you are interested in. Also, indicate your interest in obtaining one month of coaching services compliments of Hummingbird Coaching Services, Inc. and your preference for either health, life, or parenting coaching.
