OnlineBingo.co.uk, the UK's leading bingo portal and review site, has launched its very own bingo game with a twist. The free to play skill based game brings in elements of bingo but pits the user against the clock.
The game is single player and the user marks, or daubs, just a single card - a far cry from regular online bingo games. Against the clock, the user must 'accept' or 'reject' the ball that is called. The player must check their card and make the correct decision and points are available in a variety of ways; from making the correct decision to acting quickly. Ben Starr, a spokesman for Online Bingo UK says,
'Skill Bingo is an exciting new take on bingo. The user is active during the game which brings it closer to land bingo rather than the auto-daubing world of online bingo.'
Skill Bingo throws in some special balls which aim to add to the excitement - bingo balls that could better a player's score and give a time boost, or have the opposite effect.
The 90-ball free bingo game starts with three minutes on the clock and the level is complete when all the user's fifteen numbers are marked off. The player will earn extra points if there is time remaining on the clock. The next level will commence with twenty seconds less on the countdown timer - making the game harder with each level completed.
There is a brief How To Play section which will give the user a rundown of the game as well as some tips and tricks. Ben Starr went on to say,
'The game is easy to pick up, free and a great deal of fun. We have created 3 different leader boards so members can see how their scores rank. The game has leader boards for 'Today', 'This Month' and 'All-Time' and we expect competition to be rife!'
Online Bingo UK aim to have the game sponsored each month which means players ranked at the top of the monthly and all-time leader boards would be in line to receive prizes. Early indications are that prizes will include iPods and funded bingo accounts at sites that the portal holds in high regard. Bingo sites including Sun Bingo and 888Ladies are rumoured to be among the first sponsors.
