Sortprice.com Rolls out New Merchant Application on Facebook® Platform

Sortprice.com, one of the internet's fastest growing shopping search engine, has unveiled a new merchant application on Facebook Platform. This first-of-its-kind tool allows Sortprice merchants to expand their sales reach to their Facebook pages, tapping into a huge pool of potential customers.

This application is a great addition to the benefits our merchants already enjoy as part of their relationship with Sortprice

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 31, 2008 -- Continuing its innovative and creative efforts to give online retailers the best possible exposure for their products, Sortprice.com has unveiled a new application on Facebook Platform that allows its merchants to expand their sales reach to the popular website and its millions of users.

"This application is a great addition to the benefits our merchants already enjoy as part of their relationship with Sortprice," says Asaf Klibansky, Sortprice.com CTO and co-founder. "Especially with the holiday shopping season fast approaching, this will be a valuable tool for online retailers both large and small."

The one of a kind application is available to any Sortprice.com merchant with an existing Facebook account and works hand-in-hand with their product listing on Sortprice itself.

Merchants can add select product listings to their Facebook Pages or their entire registry of items for shoppers to peruse and compare prices on, complete with photos and direct links to their own websites.

Several hundred Sortprice merchants are already utilizing the new application and have raved about its benefits.

"The Facebook application is just one more way in which Sortprice stays ahead of the technological curve," said Jon H. Prince, president of Candyfavorites.com. "As the owner of the internet's largest candy store, we look to partner with companies that don't rest on their technological laurels but rather those who create new ones."

The merchant application follows the launch of Sortprice's enormously successful Wishlist application for Facebook Platform last month, a feature already being used by shoppers to compare prices and compile gift lists on their personal Facebook Pages.

With more than 110 million active users, Facebook is the fourth most-trafficked website in the world. In 2007, Facebook launched Facebook Platform to enable companies and engineers to integrate with Facebook and gain access to millions of users. Using a rich set of tools and online services, developers can now build an application that is deeply integrated into Facebook.
