Series two of Lorraine Kelly's DNA Stories is now showing on Sky Real Lives HD, the new HD channel dedicated to real life stories and documentaries.

Lorraine Kelly's DNA Stories will be broadcast in high definition on the new Sky Real Lives HD channel on Mondays at 9pm.

The first series proved to be a huge success and we had a raft of enquiries from our viewers who sent in their stories asking to take part. It's great to be working on this second series with Lorraine who is fantastic in this role.

Sky Real Lives are pleased to announce that the second series of the popular Lorraine Kelly's DNA Stories will also be available to watch in glorious high definition, as Sky Real Lives (on channel 278) gets its own dedicated HD channel (available on channel 243).

The show, airing on Mondays at 9pm on Sky Real Lives and Sky Real Lives HD, uses DNA testing to solve individual and family dilemmas. The five one-hour documentary series, shot in HD and produced by SMG Productions, will feature a range of case studies, with a common theme - a question mark hanging over an important family or personal issue.

Presented by daytime TV favourite Lorraine Kelly, the series uses a combination of documentary filming and dramatic reconstruction. Each programme follows a story from the initial request of a DNA test to the moment of truth when the results are revealed by Lorraine to all parties for the first time.

And now HD - with four times more picture detail and vibrant colours - allows viewers to get even closer to the drama and emotion. Sky Real Lives HD is one of the seven new HD channels that launched this October.

Subjects from the last series included a woman who had been with several partners in order to get pregnant; a pair of siblings abandoned during the war who believed they had met their real family; a middle-age man who believed he is the long-lost nephew to a family and an unfaithful couple who needed to confirm the father of their child.

This time round, Lorraine meets the son of an American GI soldier who visited Edinburgh during World War Two, who thinks he may have found a sister in the US, and a 35-year old decorator who thinks he's discovered a whole other family whom he may be related to.

Barbara Gibbon, Channel head for Sky Real Lives said; "The first series proved to be a huge success and we had a raft of enquiries from our viewers who sent in their stories asking to take part. It's great to be working on this second series with Lorraine who is fantastic in this role."

Producer Cameron Miller said: "We're delighted to produce another series of DNA Stories for Sky Real Lives, which will fascinate and move viewers while using the latest technology to help more people find answers to their unsolved dilemmas."
