ActiGraph to Release Triaxial Accelerometer in Early 2009
ActiGraph has just announced the upcoming release of the GT3X, the first triaxial accelerometer by the industry leader in activity measurement devices.
Pensacola, FL (PRWEB) November 1, 2008 -- ActiGraph has just announced the upcoming release of the GT3X, the first triaxial accelerometer by the industry leader in activity measurement devices. Available in early 2009, the GT3X Actigraph will measure acceleration on three axes, allowing for a more comprehensive analysis of activity and movement patterns. The GT3X will also feature 4MB of flash memory and an inclination function which can be used to determine posture and identify periods when the device is not being worn.
The GT3X will join ActiGraph's rapidly expanding product line which includes the GT1M, a dual axis accelerometer, and the ActiTrainer, a dual axis accelerometer with heart rate monitoring capability.
"ActiGraph is dedicated to providing our customers with measurement devices that will allow them to accomplish their research objectives," said ActiGraph president Jeff Arnett. "The release of the GT3X is an example of how our products have evolved and will continue to evolve along with our industry and the needs of our customers."
Since its inception in 2004, ActiGraph has served the research community in more than 40 countries. ActiGraph has recently witnessed dramatic market expansion as the applications for the science of actigraphy have grown to include not only physical activity research, but also sleep diagnostics, rehabilitation monitoring, obesity and diabetes research, sports medicine, pharmaceutical drug testing, and veterinary science.
