Independent Creative Agency Sweeps International Awards Circle
Web design, strategy and development agency Reactive just scooped a swathe of international industry awards - adding no less than seven top tier prizes to the awards walls in their Melbourne, Sydney and London studios.
Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) November 4, 2008 -- Web design, strategy and development agency Reactive just scooped a swathe of international industry awards - adding no less than seven top tier prizes to the awards walls in their Melbourne, Sydney and London studios.
Held every two years, the AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) Awards are the pinnacle gongs in the Australian sector. They cover the full gamut of design from digital media to corporate identity. This year Reactive skipped away with three distinctions and three finalists in the Digital Media category - higher more than any other agency:
| | - Distinction Awarded for www. mcec.com.au
- Distinction Awarded for www. mcec.com.au/experience
- Distinction Awarded for www. formway.com
- Finalist Awarded for www. crumpler.com.au
- Finalist Awarded for www. cedarcom.co.uk
- Finalist Awarded for www. rothelowman.com.au
| While delighted by the awards, Managing Director Tim Fouhy kept vigil on the strengths of the agency, "At the end of the day awards are always nice, but the results we produce for our clients are what really excite and motivate us."
In addition to the AGDA awards, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) Web site www. mcec.com.au - designed and developed by Reactive - was selected as winner of the Web Marketing Association's 2008 WebAward.
The award was presented for Outstanding Achievement in Web site Development in the category of International Business Standard of Excellence.
Now in its 12th year, the WebAwards is the premier annual Web site awards competition encompassing 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for International Web site design and development. Nominations from the leading interactive agencies are received from more than 47 countries.
"The entire team that worked on the MCEC site is absolutely thrilled to have won this major award," says Reactive's Creative Director, Tim Kotsiakos. "We worked in close collaboration which enabled us to devise a design that not only met the needs of MCEC but also that has been quite the award-winner. The simple yet striking design truly complements the focus of their business. Sharp angles and bold colours reinforce the uniqueness of the building design and the layout variations make the site really easy to navigate.'
MCEC's chief executive Leigh Harry says, 'Our congratulations go to Reactive who have done an outstanding job with the design of the MCEC Web site.
"When we launched our new branding in late 2007 to complement the development of the new Melbourne Convention Centre, we asked Reactive to come up with a Web site design that would showcase our new identity to the world and that is exactly what they have done."
Finally, Reactive's new global eCommerce Web site for Crumpler www. crumpler.com.au was featured as Site Of The Day in the highly coveted 'Favorite Website Awards' on the 6th of August this year.
Reactive recognises that without talented staff, fantastic clients and great competitions this sweep of awards may not have been possible. "Our team rocks," says an elated Fouhy, "and so do our clients. And so do organizations organisations like AGDA, and the broader industry for continually recognising our efforts."
