Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 5, 2008
Rock River Center and Blanchard Enterprises' HandiRecords announce a joint effort to provide improved healthcare for senior citizens in Ogle County, Illinois through the free distribution of two HandiRecords' medical information organizers to seniors and their caregivers. By maintaining updated personal medical information at home and away, seniors can ensure accurate, timely emergency medical treatment and prevent treatment errors.
Funded by a grant, Rock River Center will offer the HandiRecords Fridge Alert, which provides emergency responders with accurate medical information. A window decal alerts medical personnel to look for the lifesaving information that is affixed to the refrigerator door. Rock River Center will also offer HandiRecords Classics to seniors and their caregivers. The 24-page, checkbook-sized medical information organizers are designed to be carried in a purse or pocket to track personal medication and medical history records, along with insurance cards and doctors' contact information.
Rock River Center serves 3,300 citizens in Ogle County aged 60 and over. The HandiRecords products will be added to their information resources that range from general information to those focused on dealing with dementia or with pain management.
Blanchard Enterprises owner, Ann Blanchard says, "I created HandiRecords to help other caregivers like me, so working with Rock River Center on this project is a dream-come-true."

About Blanchard Enterprises/HandiRecords
Chicago-based Blanchard Enterprises was founded in 2007 by Ann Blanchard. When she started managing her elderly parents' medical care and couldn't find a product to address her caregiver's medical recordkeeping needs, she created the HandiRecords product line. Quickly recognized as an important new product by the national caregiver community, HandiRecords is offered directly to consumers online, as well as private-labeled through non-profit organizations, online catalogs, and retail stores.
