During the crisp December evenings, the Café Lumière bar at Sofitel Paris Le Scribe will sparkle with the gold reflections of two signature cocktails, created by Mixologist Christophe Simon. Le Champagne Lumière: The snap of ginger vodka is softened by the delicate orange of Cointreau while particles of gold dance in pink champagne. Le C.C.C. (Champagne, Cointreau Caviar): Cointreau is used to create "caviar" - tapioca-like pearls filled with half an ounce of liquor - bringing a surprising burst of flavor to the pallet.
December Nights will heat up with two chocolate cocktails: The Choc'Cocktail, which combines rum and chocolate crumble; and Spicy, which combines cacao, Cachaca and Espelette pepper.
Le Menu Cacao - The Chocolate Menu
To celebrate the wintry months with richness and warmth, Café Lumière Chef Sébastien Crison will offer a special chocolate menu during the holiday season. Beginning with traditional fois gras (a French holiday delicacy) and culminating with a braised beef entrée, each dish is kissed with delicate chocolate touches. To finish the meal, the signature dessert dish "Le Cinema" is served with caramel and ginger. Available during lunch and dinner in Café Lumière, the Chocolate Menu is offered for €60 (approx. $78USD) per person, not including alcohol.
Réveillon Champagne - New Year's Champagne
Café Lumière pays homage to the Lumière Brothers and their extraordinary invention of the moving picture. Guests of the restaurant on December 31, 2008, will enjoy a sumptuous New Year's Eve comparable to celebrations of the movies. Executive Chef Sébastien Crison will offer an elegant menu to toast new beginnings featuring delicacies such as fois gras, crab, pork and poultry all paired with Champagne. Guests will be entertained by songs from musicals and movies. The Réveillon Champagne is offered upon request for €310 (approx. $408USD) per person.
