Rainier Connect Moves to Tacoma's Historic Brewery District
Company expands to make room for new high-tech telecommunications services for business, while being hailed as a leader in helping to improve the district
Tacoma, Wash. (PRWEB) November 5, 2008 -- Rainier Connect, a telecommunications provider serving Pierce and Lewis Counties, today celebrates its bold move to the Tacoma Historic Brewery District. Family-owned Rainier Connect, whose offices were moved just last week, hosts community leaders today for tours of the historic building.
Rainier Connect, an anchor tenant in this historic district, has purchased the buildings that were formerly home to the Pacific Brewery and Malting Company in order to accommodate the company's recent and projected growth. The company paid $1.9 million for the two buildings and is expected to spend an additional $2 million on revitalizing the 30,000 square feet.
"We have been renovating this historic building for over a year and believe that this new location will really help us to better serve our growing customer base, as well as create a renewal in this area," said Brian Haynes, President and CEO, Rainier Connect. "The location and the building will enable us to expand as we continue to add new high-tech digital and Internet services, while creating jobs and motivating other companies to join us here."
Rainier Connect's partnership with Click! Network contributes to the company's growth and need for a larger telecommunications facility. Rainier Connect began offering residential high speed Internet and digital phone service in Tacoma earlier this year through the Click! Network, and now offers the same services to businesses in their service district. The partnership enables Rainier Connect to offer Tacoma businesses an alternative to purchasing multiple voice, data and Internet network services. Customers are served by a single access connection, managed and monitored by Rainier Connect. Click! Network is a state-of-the-art fiber optic network designed for reliability and flexibility.
Rainier Connect continues to grow its product and service lines with video conferencing, data storage and other resources for business coming soon.
"Rainer Connect's decision to invest in the Brewery District is another sign of the ongoing revitalization of Tacoma, and the company's commitment to the marketplace is manifest in this forward-thinking choice," said David Graybill, President and CEO, Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. "The Tacoma Brewery District is very important to the city's downtown economic development strategy and Rainier Connect's decision to move their headquarters there helps to solidify that direction. Rainier Connect is an excellent example of how family-owned companies can make a long-term contribution to the business growth and history of our community."
