Carmel, IN (PRWEB) November 8, 2008 -- Interactions Corporation, the leading provider of voice hybrid solutions, today announced the release of Hey Otto 1.0, the first totally voice-enabled conference calling self-service assistant. Built on top of Interactions' award winning Service Factory, Hey Otto allows every caller to speak naturally, as they would to a live conference assistant and individually direct "Otto", the human voice and personality of the system, to perform specific tasks to facilitate the call.
"This is a total change in the way people collaborate with each other via the telephone," said Jason Kolb, vice-president of Hey Otto, at an event formally launching the service. "Hey Otto is so smart, he can do nearly everything a live operator can do, but faster, easier, less expensively and for thousands of people simultaneously."
The initial release of Hey Otto allows callers to join conferences by simply speaking the first and last name of the host instead of having to enter a Personal Identification Numbers, or PIN to access a call. Once in conference, the callers can independently reach the in-conference assistant, Otto, at anytime and ask naturally for functions such as conference recording, a roll call, line muting, audio "clip art", volume adjustments, transfers to a different phone line - even having Otto call out to new parties and requesting they join the conference. Additionally, starting with their first call Otto begins to learn how to identify the caller, addresses each caller by name, and educates each caller on new features and use suggestions.
"Otto provides me a completely new and easy way to host conferences and it's fairly obvious to see the future web and mobile potential of this solution," stated Pete Lucs, contract manager for an international manufacturing firm and an early Hey Otto user. "This service is unlike anything I've ever used before. It's amazing."
"Interactions' patent pending Service Factory - which leverages human understanding within highly automated call-based service and communication - is a revolutionary technology and Otto is a great example of how this technology can be leveraged beyond the core customer service market," said Michael Cloran, CEO of Interactions.
Hey Otto is a pay-as-you-go service with no minimum usage requirement and is currently offering 200 free toll free minutes to new users. Visit http://www.heyotto.com .
