Nalgene Brings New Eco-Friendly and BPA-Free Material to Market

Nalgene Expands Product Line into Stainless Steel -- Now Offering Consumers Products in Six Different BPA-Free Materials

We're very excited to now offer consumers a great stainless steel option

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) November 10, 2008 -- Nalgene, the leading manufacturer in the reusable bottle and container industry, announces its partnership with Guyot Designs to launch its first ever non-plastic product line-the Standard and Backpacker stainless steel bottles. The new bottles carry 100 pounds of verified green house gas emissions reductions-enough to offset the negative impact of their production, making them not just carbon neutral, but carbon negative. In addition, unlike aluminum bottles that use liners, Nalgene's stainless bottles are manufactured without epoxy based lining -- just good ol' fashioned, durable stainless steel.

Nalgene, a brand that has become ubiquitous for its vast assortment of reusable plastic bottles and containers, is excited to now expand its product line into stainless steel. With the addition of stainless steel, Nalgene distinguishes itself in its field, by offering consumers the largest product line of six different BPA-free materials- all of which are highlighted on the company's consumer material information website, www.NalgeneChoice.com.

With heightened concerns about the materials used in the linings of aluminum bottles, Nalgene's new stainless steel bottles are 100% BPA-free and are made of 100% surgical grade 316 stainless steel with no lining or coating of any type.

"We're very excited to now offer consumers a great stainless steel option," said Eric Hansen, Senior Business Manager, Nalgene. "We've come to learn that every individual has their own personal preference when it comes to staying hydrated whether it's a specific type of plastic or a stainless steel. By bringing stainless steel to our product line, we're now very excited to be able to offer those consumers as many choices possible to fit their individual hydration needs."

Stainless Steel bottles will be available in both Backpacker and Standard models at www.Nalgene-Outdoor.com starting January 1, 2009. For more information on Nalgene's materials, visit www.NalgeneChoice.com.
