CEA Application Deadlines Extended for Select Spring 2009 Programs

Study abroad provider extending application deadlines, including in Latin American destinations, making Spring 2009 programs still an option

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) November 10, 2008 -- CEA, a leading study abroad and global education provider, has extended application deadlines for select Spring 2009 programs in several CEA destinations. Due to negotiations with their partners overseas, CEA is able to continue to offer students the opportunity to study abroad this spring. Visas may still be required in certain countries and course registration must begin immediately, so interested students should call an advisor as soon as possible to discuss details and begin the process.

Latin America in particular is an extremely viable option for students who still wish to study abroad this Spring , mainly because Latin American countries do not require a visa for students to study abroad. Many students find themselves hindered by last minute study abroad options due to the long visa process associated with most study abroad programs; choosing to study in Latin America removes that time constraint. Affordability is another reason for students to consider studying in Latin America. The cost of living and the tuition for programs in Latin America tends to be more affordable than European destinations. Plus, Latin American destinations tend to be closer to the US, making airfare more reasonable.

The Open Doors 2007 Report on International Educational Exchange shows that "study abroad trends are on the rise in Latin American countries, with Mexico growing 8%, Costa Rica 13%, and Argentina a whopping 42% from one year to the next.

Leslie Webster, CEA's Latin American specialist also pointed out that these countries have "an amazing history, rich culture, good weather and offer an exciting scene for students."

Students may feel hesitant to take advantage of these extensions, with some schools and other providers saying it's too late, but CEA has done all the research and leg-work for students and has carefully arranged details, so that students can be fully informed and still study abroad this spring without all the stress. Time will be of the utmost importance concerning paper work, but students can be confident in the fact that CEA will help to secure their place on an academic global adventure for this coming semester.

Programs in the following destinations have extended their deadlines through November and many into mid and late December: France, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Italy, England, and Argentina.
