NameLab Announces Launch Of LabNotes Blog
New blog designed to inform readers, engage discussion.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 12, 2008 -- NameLab, a Chicago-based firm specializing in corporate naming and corporate branding strategies, recently announced the launch of its new blog, LabNotes.
"Our blog is designed to be a source of information for emerging trends in naming and brand strategy," said NameLab President Michael Barr. "LabNotes is a place for us to offer opinions and insights that will help marketers keep their brands relevant, and a site where people can have a dialogue on relevant issues."
Among the blog's features are frequently updated posts highlighting industry trends and developments, direct links to the corporate NameLab site for more information about branding and naming processes, and the option to subscribe to weekly LabNotes posts via email.
As more marketing strategies have become Internet-focused, company-sponsored blogs have increased in prominence as well. This trend, say analysts, is a reflection of both the growing awareness of the potential of Internet marketing, and the effectiveness of blogs, social media campaigns, and other online marketing methods designed to engage and involve the user.
A recent study conducted by Nielsen Online and Eloqua, Inc, revealed that 60% of marketers will be relying on Internet marketing methods, such as corporate blogs, in 2009, more extensively than in years past. Blogs, which began as "grassroots" marketing methods, have gained tremendous influence in the past few years, with a large percentage of the highest-trafficked sites replacing traditional news media sites as a main source of news for many Internet users.
"Trends, by definition, are always changing," Barr added. "Naming and branding trends are no exception, and the best way to explore these trends is through a dynamic, blog-based medium."
