WavePad v 4.0 Interface

This is a very significant release for us

Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 12, 2008

NCH Software announce the release of Wavepad Audio Editor version 4.0 with updates to the internal engine, the user interface and long list of new features.

The internal engine upgrade provides vastly improved performance when scrolling through the waveform (which itself features a new look and colors) and allows users to work with audio samples down to milliseconds.

"This is a very significant release for us," said Stephanie Lee, Marketing Manager for NCH Software. "WavePad is the flagship of NCH Software's audio range so a lot of time and effort was put in by our sound team to get it right. We feel that it will be well received by professional and everyday users who can choose between the freeware version and the Master's Edition to create and edit audio projects"

Some of the more notable enhancements include the ability to stack effects on top of each other, rearrange their order and add several of the same effects on top of each other, a time bar showing time measurement of audio down to milliseconds and enhancements to the waveform display including higher quality illustration for Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and the Time-Based Fast Fourier Transform (TFFT) analysis.

"WavePad includes a number of the advanced features you can find in the very expensive audio editing packages, but our preference is to keep the price point low and continue to offer a freeware version, to fill the gap between the other freeware or low cost editors and the higher end of the market," said Stephanie. "WavePad Master's Edition is the best alternative for those who do not want to pay hundreds of dollars for an audio editing application."

This release comes just ahead of the much anticipated video editing application from NCH Software, who also develop Prism, one of the most stable video converters on the market.
