United Liberty Helping Homeowners Keep Their Homes

Homeowners suffering from the financial crunch can get help. Explanation of what loan modification is.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2008 -- About 4 million U.S. homeowners were either behind in their mortgage payments or in foreclosure at the end of June 2008, according to a second-quarter survey released by the Mortgage Bankers Association.

With the headlines constantly reporting on the demise of the US homeowner market, it seems that there is no relief available to the millions of homeowners, both sub-prime and prime, who are seeking assistance to retain their most valued asset, their home. United Liberty (UL) provides relief as a specialist in the area of Attorney Retained Loan Modifications.

Loan Modifications can be a number of things, including:
-   Reducing payments to establish a payment schedule that homeowners can successfully keep current
-   Provide a simple and long term payment schedule for the life of the loan
-   Eliminate the unknown factor of future interest rates

60 days - this is the average turn around time from initial retention to qualified and completed Loan Modification for United Liberty's successful clients. 60 days to go from fear of losing one's home to living one's life.

UL provides a service to interface directly with lenders on behalf of troubled homeowners to 'modify' the terms of the borrower's loan so that owners can stay current and have a clear expectation of mortgage costs go-forward instead of the confusing adjustable rate mortgages that have been the root cause of many of today's delinquencies.

Even with pressure from both Federal and State governments for lenders to work with borrowers who are in default, there are no incentives for banks to assist delinquent borrowers. These giant lending organizations and financial holding institutions servicing many of these default loans, their cultures, processes and motivations, are not in alignment to assist troubled borrowers, hence the ever increasing number of foreclosures that are being seen every day.

Many public agencies seek to assist troubled borrowers to negotiate their own Loan Mods. The Loan Modification process is unique to each lending organization and therefore confusing, frustrating, time consuming, emotionally burdensome and most often unsuccessful when handled by homeowners or non-professionals. Additionally, there are a number of 'for fee' firms providing similar kits and 'how to' packages but no direct involvement in the actual Loan Modification process - praying on the desperation of homeowners who just want to keep their homes.

UL provides the expertise and experience to quickly and effectively assess if a homeowner may be suitable for a Loan Modification and can provide the resources including Loan Modification specialists, Attorneys and support staff, to deliver the results being sought by today's troubled homeowners.

United Liberty provides a no-cost review consultation to determine if a troubled homeowner may be a suitable candidate for a successful Loan Modification. If, based on a number of key borrower factors, it is determined that a Loan Modification may be a viable alternative available to the homeowner, then UL can be retained to execute the Loan Modification on behalf of the homeowner with their lender. The UL philosophy is simply, our success is solely tied to the success of the homeowners we represent.

United Liberty will take complete ownership of the Loan Modification process:
-   Building the case with the proper documentation for the lender
-   Contacting the homeowner's mortgage servicing company
-   Negotiating the terms of the Loan Modification
-   Executing the completed Loan Modification

At United Liberty, we want our customers to have a confidence in our competence to successfully represent them and keep them in their homes.

For those borrowers who are just hanging on to keep current, are behind in their payments or are already in foreclosure due to the radically higher monthly mortgage payments from adjustments to their existing loans, United Liberty provides a lifeline to allow homeowners to keep their home, avoid the pain of foreclosure and the onus that default homeowners will be burdened with for years thereafter.
