Financial Literacy Meets MTV Award Show Style Production

Economic uncertainty increases the need for youth financial literacy training. The Money X Live event is a full concert style production that inspires attendees to be financially responsible, encourages their upward mobility, motivates them to attend college and inspires community service.

Anaheim, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2008 -- The Money X Live Youth Financial Literacy Event is taking place on February 27th at the Grove of Anaheim. This event is produced in an MTV award show style setting bringing together top sport stars, celebrity role models, live bands and DJ's to ensure this event will have a positive and lasting influence on the lives of our participants.

The National Youth Financial Educators Council (http://www.NYFEC.org) is producing the Money X Live edu-tainment event to inspire attendees to be financially responsible, encourage their upward mobility, motivate them to attend college and inspire community service. "Today, it is more important than ever that our youth are given access to real world financial training in a format they can relate to," states Vince Shorb founder of NYFEC.

Social entrepreneurship is highlighted at the event and NYFEC has partnered with several nonprofits that empower youth including: STANDUP FOR KIDS, Junior Achievement, AIGA Foundation, The Brockman Institute, World Trust Foundation and the Matt Leinart Foundation. 100% of the net proceeds will go to support their efforts.

STANDUP FOR KIDS is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless and at-risk youth. Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the business of life. In partnership with businesses and educators, Junior Achievement brings real world financial education to students.

The World Trust Foundation's mission is to empower youth and mentor future leaders of the world by showing them how to find their voices and learn what it feels like to be a leader in the own lives.

The AIGA Foundation is a non-profit organization that bridges the gap to opportunity for student-athletes nationwide and throughout the South Pacific region. AIGA's mission is to provide supporting resources with academic, athletic, and financial assistance to better equip today's youth.

The Brockman Institute's purpose is to assist communities and educate its members in leadership development. For 27 years, they have provided educational field trips to help students develop into productive, charitable members of the society.

The National Youth Financial Educator's Council (http://www.NYFEC.org) is an organization dedicated to increasing youth financial literacy through the creation of live events and financial education products that 21st century youth can relate to. NYFEC has also developed certification standards, financial literacy curriculum and provides financial educators training on how to most effectively teach this subject matter.
