Mammoth Networks Offers Clearest Pipe

Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 14, 2008 -- Mammoth Networks is now offering clear-channel T1, DS3 and OC3 circuits delivered to a TDM interface. The company recently completed network builds to 360networks, Qwest National and XO Communications allowing the creation of private Wide Area Networks throughout Mammoth's coverage area.

The expanded services have enabled Mammoth's customers to deliver private-lines to aggregation points in more than 30 cities. A Mammoth customer can then provision clear-channel circuits throughout the lower 48 states to a desired aggregation point. With this product, a Network Provider can provision T1s in various locations such as Bozeman, Montana and Las Cruces, New Mexico and have them delivered to an aggregation point in Denver, Colorado.

Mammoth is touting clear-channel T1 services as a solution for Network Providers demanding a full, unshared pipe to their customers. While the current telecom market is trending toward Ethernet services (which force a focus on Quality of Service), Mammoth is embracing a more traditional approach. The niche carrier is avoiding the QoS requirement altogether, handing that ability to Network Providers.

Network Providers can easily deploy Mammoth's clear-channel services because the product is standardized. Clear-channel is well documented and well-supported by a number of equipment vendors, and used equipment is plentiful in the telecom market.

"As Ethernet services have emerged, TDM services are freeing up," stated Brian Worthen, Mammoth's CEO. "As we grew our Ethernet product, we realized that a simplified solution was something our customers were clamoring for."

Worthen explains that Network Providers are victim to oversubscription, impacting services such as VoIP and hosted services. Networks in certain areas of the country are experiencing limited throughput and inconsistent service as a result of demand for more bandwidth. Conversely, TDM circuits are plentiful as a result of network builds the first part of this decade.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services, serving fourteen Western states with their layer 2 DSL network and the contiguous lower 48 states with their private-line services. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Network Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
