Local lad from Canterbury, Kent uses Ladbrokes Poker Win to Put Mum Through University

James Sudworth known online at Ldbrokes Poker as James666 has won over £25,000 playing poker in the recent Ladbrokes online poker festival the LEOCOP (Oct 26th - Nov 9th). This is all the more extraordinary as the lad from Molash, Kent is only 22 years old. He is now on course to win a credit crunch busting $1m in the Ladbrokes Poker Million to be shown on Sky Sports 2 in December. James who has won around £200,000 in cash and prizes has used some of his winnings to put his mum, who's studying Speech Therapy through university.

I was studying media studies at A level and then got a job as a Bar Manager, but was introduced to poker one night in my local. It's such fun playing I never looked back. My parents weren't initially pleased with my career choice, but seeing how dedicated I am and how much I won from a recent trip in Vegas they've come around slightly!

London (PRWEB) November 13, 2008 -- James Sudworth from Molash, Canterbury is on course to win a credit crunch busting cool million in the Ladbrokes Poker Million, a televised poker tournament. Although James aged 22 has only been playing poker for a few years, he's already won over £200,000 in cash and prizes. He's even used some of his winnings to help put his mum who's studying speech therapy through university.

James who on Monday who topped the LEOCOP Leaderboard won £25,000 in total in the Ladbrokes online poker festival}, past wins include a Caribbean poker cruise with Ladbrokes Poker as well as poker trips to Madrid and Killarney in Ireland and is off again with Ladbrokes to see the Ricky Hatton fight In Las Vegas later this month . Oddly enough he won over £10,000 last Sunday with three of a kind '6s', his moniker on line is....... 'James666'

James who became a poker pro two years ago laughed: "I was studying media studies at A level and then got a job as a Bar Manager, but was introduced to poker one night in my local. It's such fun playing I never looked back. My parents weren't initially pleased with my career choice, but seeing how dedicated I am and how much I won from a recent trip in Vegas they've come around slightly!"

His words of advice to anyone who wants to start playing: "Only play with an amount you can afford to lose - I started around the £10 mark, which is cheaper than an average night out which at that time could easily be around £30 - £40.

Somehow though I don't think James will let the wins go to his head. Whereas most of us would crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate the cash won, James treated himself to a Pukka Pie from the local supermarket when he won his first major amount of money! Although his plan to move to Beverly Hills may well put a hole in his fat bankroll.

James has also invested some of his winnings into a short film directed by his friend Neil Neenan also from Canterbury that is due to be aired on C4 shortly. It's a poetic study of the relationship between a location and the lives and emotions of those who visit it. The film is set on the British Coast (Samphire, Hoe, Kent) and it seems that whatever happens its likely that James will always call Kent home!

Ifyou want to be in with a chance of playing in the poker million there still is a chance to qualify for free with the Chase the chair freeroll promotion running until the 28th November.
