M&I Bank Hosts Border Showdown Pep Rally to Benefit Harvesters
M&I Bank will host the Border Showdown Pep Rally to benefit Harvesters Community Food Network on Thurs., Nov. 20 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the M&I Bank Plaza branch parking lot located at 800 W. 47th Street on the Country Club Plaza.
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) November 14, 2008 -- M&I Bank will host the Border Showdown Pep Rally to benefit Harvesters Community Food Network on Thurs., Nov. 20 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the M&I Bank Plaza branch parking lot located at 800 W. 47th Street on the Country Club Plaza.
"The Border Showdown Series presented a great opportunity to make the most of the heated competition between the Jayhawks and Tigers for a good cause," said Pam Berneking, M&I Bank Kansas City Region president. "We encourage all Kansas and Missouri fans to join together at the Pep Rally and support Harvesters."
M&I Bank will be collecting food and money on behalf of the University of Kansas Jayhawks and University of Missouri Tigers. Attendees are encouraged to come and support their teams and donate to Harvesters to determine which school can collect the most donations.
Attendees can enter to win prizes and enjoy snacks, refreshments and games, compliments of M&I Bank, as Kevin Kietzman with Sports Radio 810 WHB broadcasts "Between the Lines" live from the M&I Bank parking lot.
"M&I Bank is committed to providing Harvesters the support it needs to help end hunger throughout Kansas City and we will continue our efforts to help stock Harvesters shelves this year," Berneking added.
Donations are also being accepted through the Border Showdown Virtual Food Drive.
