This year it will take place at the Hilton Orange County / Costa Mesa in 70,000 sq.ft of function space. Now with the recent wild fires taking place in Southern California over the last few days, the producers of NYEOC, know that something's got to give. It's difficult to believe that just eleven months ago, millions of people were eagerly anticipating the coming of 2008 and for what? Had everyone known that 2008 was going to be this bad, the mood for celebrating New Years would not have been as high.

EVENT OVERVIEW:
WEDNESDAY - December 31, 2008 thousands will gather to see the transformation of the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa into New Year's Eve OC. This has been the preferred New Year's Eve Celebration for the past 10 years for the wealthy. It's achieved this level of prominence over the years because its where the largest concentration of affluent guests go to celebrate New Year's Eve. Over 5,000 people are expected to attend.
New Years Eve OC (NYEOC) is the annual celebration hosted by Ones We Love (OWL) for South Orange County residents and their friends. One of the best things about a hotel party on New Year's Eve is that guests don't have to worry about drinking and driving. This helps avoid starting the year off with a DUI, because you can party all you want and go to your room when the party is over.
NYEOC takes place in seven different ballrooms, TWO levels (one level is exclusively VIP) and different genre's of music. Over 70,000 sq.ft of space will be converted to create the NYEOC experience. Guests must be 21 or older to attend and proper attire is required.
ON THE MAIN LEVEL:
NYEOC features music Video DJs in the main ballroom and a video countdown on 12 foot video screens. Beauty and Fashion shows from various designers will take place between 9pm and 10pm.
There's a room on the main level that's completely dedicated to house and electronic music. The House Music room will feature laser and intelligent light shows and a powerful sound system to leave guests in awe.
If you find yourself feeling nostalgic, you can visit the Retro Room where DJs will play a mixture of 70's, 80's and 90's rock, hip-hop and hits from days gone by. This will bring back memories of the "good ol days" as you prepare to for the "great new days"
ON THE VIP LEVEL:
The two VIP lounges will be a complete transformation of the ballroooms into a swanky Ultra Lounge, complete with designer furniture. Plus a Play-for-fun casino featuring Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and other fun casino games is on the VIP level to keep guests entertained.
NYEJAMS - LIVE Entertainment Lounge:
The creators of OCNYE had a great idea when it came to having live bands perform on New Years. However, challenges with venues and weather prevented them from realizing their full potential. The producers of NYEOC acquired OCNYE in May 2008 to eliminate their biggest competitor. OCNYE was dismantled and reconstructed as NYE Jams, the largest LIVE Entertainment Lounge in OC. By bringing the OCNYE party indoors, another dimension to the NYEOC party was created at the same time avoding challenges from outdoor concerts in late December.
NYE JAMS guests will enjoy LIVE performances several new bands and up-and-coming solo artists. Plus the first 2,500 people to arrive will get a NYE Jams compilation CD. This priceless keepsake is something to remember the party of the year.
