Herndon, VA (PRWEB) November 17, 2008 -- Renaissance Lighting, a pioneering innovator of eco-friendly solid-state LED architectural lighting, will showcase it's highest quality LED-based lighting fixtures at the U.S. Green Building Council's Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 19-21, in Boston. Renaissance Lighting will be exhibiting at booth number 560 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center during the conference.

"Participation as an exhibitor at Greenbuild International is a first for Renaissance Lighting, an event we consider important in becoming a viable player in the increasingly global 'green' marketplace," said Barry Weinbaum, Renaissance Lighting CEO. "There is an ever-increasing environmental consciousness that is helping set standards for products of all types. We have brought innovative, energy efficient and ecologically safe products that are the perfect match for the aggressive demands of a growing number of environmentally conscious customers."

Renaissance Lighting will demonstrate its LED-based general illumination products including white and RGB downlight fixtures along with the advanced control devices that permit users to set the mood in any room or environment. The company's unique and patented optical design enable each fixture to combine light from individual LED light sources and uniformly blend them together in glare-free fashion resulting in rich and consistent color.

Renaissance Lighting understands that as a light source, LEDs are quickly becoming the obvious "green" choice for lighting fixtures as they offer numerous benefits over traditional light sources. LEDs have lower CO2 emissions and do not contain harmful mercury commonly found in Compact Florescent Lights. LEDs also have an inherently long life span of 50,000-70,000 hours and therefore are virtually maintenance free, lowering the overall total cost of ownership.

"While at the Greenbuild Expo, we are looking forward to meeting with the key players in the building and construction industry and continue to work with the industry in promoting more sustainable environments." Weinbaum said.
