Jonesboro, Arkansas (PRWEB) November 21, 2008 -- Optus Inc. recently attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program by demonstrating competencies in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions and Networking Infrastructure Solutions. Gold Certified members must demonstrate expertise in applying Microsoft technologies towards solving customer issues.

Attaining Gold Certified Partner status required Optus experts to declare and demonstrate specific Microsoft Competencies. Proficiency in applying, implementing, and supporting Microsoft-based technologies is what differentiates partners and the status level they achieve.

Optus specialists in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions provide design and/or implementation of complex business communication infrastructure solutions, such as Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory. Optus team members apply their unique skills so organizations can remain focused on their business while still improving operational efficiency and reducing security risks.

"Focusing internal resources on projects requiring highly specialized and infrequently utilized technical competencies often is not the best use of your team members or their time," says Ed Martin, Vice President of Marketing at Optus. "I like the term 'out tasking' to describe the trend to focus staff on projects requiring expertise in your organization and its processes while seeking assistance from trusted partners for highly technical and less familiar infrastructure projects."

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner enrolled in the Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency, Optus has proven their expertise in implementing technology solutions based on Microsoft Windows Server operating system, with a particular focus on Microsoft Small Business Server. Along with the two competencies, Optus earned the credentials to join the Small Business Specialist community.

"Optus is uniquely positioned to assist our customers with a broad array of technical expertise," states David Sluder, Chief Operating Officer at Optus. "This achievement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to deliver the best business-class services and solutions to our customers."

The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.
