Zosimos Botanicals Among Top 10 Greenest Home-Based Business of 2008 in StartUpNation Contest

StartupNation deems Zosimos Botanicals one of the Top 10 Greenest Home-Based Businesses of 2008. The 2nd Annual StartupNation Home-Based 100 contest ranked businesses in ten categories. The Greenest category applied to home-based businesses having a positive environmental and/or social impact.

Gaithersburg, MD (PRWEB) November 26, 2008 -- Zosimos Botanicals LLC (www.zosimosbotanicals.com) was named as one of the Top 10 Greenest Home-Based Businesses of 2008 in the 2nd Annual StartupNation contest.

The green efforts include the fact that the recipes are free of synthetic chemicals, parabens or other toxins. In her Contestants Case to Be Considered a Winner, Stein proved how her company continually strives to meet the criteria as Greenest Home-Based Biz of 2008. Committed to social and environmental responsibility, Zosimos Botanicals has sponsored an Intern from Tanzania through Liberty's Promise Opportunities Plus program. Zosimos Botanicals educated its local community in the Green Zone of the Celebrate Gaithersburg street festival, and collaborated with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics to provide makeovers to teens at the DC Green Festival.

Additional efforts considered by StartupNation were that Zosimos Botanicals recently sent personal care products to the Breast Cancer Fund Peak Hike event to raise money for Breast Cancer prevention. Zosimos Botanicals is supporting Morgan State University in the RecycleMania competition. Stein also sent natural eye pencils to an Arab outreach program which educates woman on the potential poisoning risk from eye liner. Linda Stein is a contributing author to an upcoming book on "Living Green."
