In total, the volunteerism time adds up to more than 40,000 hours that employees could be volunteering in communities across the nation.
The 2009 TDS Telecommunications Corp. volunteer program recognizes the importance of work-life balance and strives to increase employee involvement in the community. Studies show employees perform better, and value their workplace environment more, when given the time to volunteer and to make a difference in their communities. The company is optimistic employees will respond in great numbers.
