Madison, WI (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 21, 2008 -- TDS Telecommunications Corp. is inviting its 2,600 full-time employees to volunteer - and they are backing up the challenge with 16 hours of paid time off per year to make it happen. In total, the volunteerism time adds up to more than 40,000 hours that employees could be volunteering in communities across the nation.

The 2009 TDS Telecommunications Corp. volunteer program recognizes the importance of work-life balance and strives to increase employee involvement in the community. Studies show employees perform better, and value their workplace environment more, when given the time to volunteer and to make a difference in their communities. The company is optimistic employees will respond in great numbers.
