Artists Have a New Place to Promote Music With the NexTune Digital Music Service
Artists can promote, sell and send their digital music with email address they have in their fan base, as well as distribute mp3 music widgets to web sites, post tour schedules and sell concert tickets.
Redmond, WA (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) November 25, 2008 -- NexTune rolled out its new web site exclusively for artists and musicians that want to promote their digital music. Musicians and artists can link their song files to their NexTune web page and sell them with automatic links to Amazon.com, iTunes or provide their own custom link to download songs. NexTune offers their artist memberships free of charge to established and independent artists.
MIMS, Coolio and Shwayze are the first artists to jump on the new site. If you go to http://www.nextune.com/Shwayze you'll discover YouTube videos, an mp3 player full of Shwayze music, their tour schedule, a Shwayze photo book, Shwayze albums and full streaming playlists of Shwayze's favorite tunes. MIMS and Coolio also have pages on NexTune offering a trivia game for fans in addition to music downloads and ring tones. When asked about his participation in the NexTune Artist web site, MIMS said "NexTune is helping me promote my music and gave me the opportunity to be their first artist featured on the site. Each artist can customize their page with any or all of the features NexTune offers including videos, albums, tour scheduling, concert ticket sales, music downloads, custom playlists and more. Regular NexTune members can download playlists, post messages to the artists and add them as friends to their social network. NexTune also includes a notification system that allows artists to blast out emails to NexTune members and any email addresses the artist has in their fan base. Artists can even attach their latest releases to the messages as full length streaming music previews. While fans can't download the songs attached to messages, they can play them in their entirety. Music consumers can quickly find songs that match a given mood or locate songs that flow together well. NexTune members assign the songs they like to an online playlist.
