Gratis Bilingual Children's Programming Available to TV Stations Nationwide -- Program Creator Answers Obama's Plea to Teach Kids Spanish

President-elect Barack Obama calls for world-class education and encourages parents to make sure their children can speak Spanish. Available free of charge are bilingual children's programs for TV stations to share with families in their viewing areas from The Boca Beth Program with new segments under development.

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) November 25, 2008 -- It's no secret that President-elect Barack Obama values the ability to speak both Spanish and English. As he stated during his campaign's town hall meetings, "You need to make sure your child can speak Spanish."

Children sing, dance and play as they learn Spanish and English viewing the free bilingual Boca Beth programs on The Education Channel. Lucy Griggs, Program Director for The Education Channel, exclaims about this unique and gratis children's TV programming made available to her station early in 2008, "Boca Beth's music videos and vignettes offer our youngest viewers a fun, interactive introduction to another language (Spanish or English) while they watch a cute puppet and some adorable children sing, dance and have fun. It's such a simple, friendly and easy way to help children acquire new language skills."

The diversity and lessons learned will extend beyond the TV set thanks to the non-profit web site program creator and bilingual educator, Beth Butler, has developed to support the fun second language journey at http://www.BocaBeth.org "Our hope it to provide this free programming to stations across our country as parents and teachers realize that children under the age of five can learn a second language at the same time they are learning their native language," states Butler, better known as Boca Beth.

A live interactive, bilingual community concert was filmed for TV earlier this fall, complete with The Boca Beth Program's mascot, BOCA, who has become the language amigo/friend of children around the world as the hand puppet featured on the TV show. "This edutainment piece will be ready for TV stations by spring 2009," remarks Boca Beth adding, "Children love live music just as their parents do, and that is why this concert event will be a hit in households and classrooms around our country!"
