Wordpress Blogs Installed With Fantastico Could Be Inviting Hackers With Security Loophole

Micheal Savoie, founder and President of WiredSocialProfits.com and MyBloggingSchool.com warns bloggers to fix their security flaws if they used Fantastico to install their Wordpress Blog. Downloaders of his step by step Security Fix Manual can have their Wordpress Blog secured in fifteen minutes.

Beverly Hills, FL (PRWEB) November 26, 2008

Anyone who has installed a Wordpress blog using Fantastico, a popular feature of many hosting companies using cpanel, may be making it easier for a hacker to take over their blog. Micheal Savoie, President and founder of MyBloggingSchool.com and WiredSocialProfits.com, warns that anyone who has installed a Wordpress Blog using Fantastico should patch these security flaws to prevent hackers from easily guessing their database and usernames, since Fantastico uses the same username and database name, wrdp1, in all first installations of a Wordpress blog.

While Fantastico Wordpress blogs are not wide open, because hackers still have to figure out the database password, but it is 300% more secure if they don't know the username and database name! With the bots that hackers have circulating around the web, it is only a matter of time for them to cycle through all possible passwords on vulnerable databases until they finally crack those Wordpress installations and take them over for search engine spamming.

Savoie, who has performed hundreds of Wordpress Blogs for corporate clients, says that Fantastico is a great way to install a blog fast, but those installations should be secured immediately after installing. He teaches blog installations at his website, MyBloggingSchool.com and his recommendation is to install Wordpress manually, but those who have installed their blogs using Fantastico like many thousands of bloggers on the web, can still fix the security flaws in 15 minutes or less.

Micheal Savoie has provided a step by step manual for free download that reveals the exact steps to seal up that security flaw permanently. The manual can be download at http://MyBloggingSchool.com/fantastico-fix at no charge. Micheal has trained a group of technicians (graduates of My Blogging School) to do this for business owners who do not want to deal with databases or just don't have the time for $47 by contacting his help desk.

"This economy has allowed me to train lots of people who were looking at layoffs or reduction of hours at their current job and give them a career working for themselves by helping business owners who do not have the time to install and upgrade their blogs. It is truly a win-win situation for my customers and their clients!" said Savoie.

Savoie added that he is starting another training course December 1 for 50 students who want to become blog installation technicians. He asks that after looking at his Fantastico Fix Manual, those who wish to continue training, should sign up for "My Blogging School" when the doors open on December 1. "Everyone who downloads the report will be given first crack at getting into the blog installation class! The price is very reasonable for training that can make you money for the rest of your life!"

Micheal Savoie left his 17 year career in retail when he retired from Sam's Club on October 31, 2008 in order to teach online fulltime. He has recently been featured on a Webinar put on my Dr. Sami Fab of the UK at http://ourwiz.com/likes/SuperFastProfits where he taught blogging basics.
