"Door To Door is providing us with much needed assistance for our program by donating containers in which to keep the collected toys," said Paul Lyons, Toys for Joy Program Coordinator. "The Toys for Joy program is able to keep functioning due to support of businesses such as Door To Door. This year it is vital as we know that we will need to help an increased number of families with children because of the economy."

On December 2, 2008, the containers will be delivered to Fire Station 75, located at Lake Meridian. The station will be used as a central sorting location with units designated to hold toys for children by age group. Several "Wrapping Parties" will be held, providing the opportunity for community members, including Door To Door employees, to gather and wrap all of the donated toys prior to distribution.

"Door To Door is headquartered in Kent, so our employees and their families feel especially committed to help those that need assistance in our community," said Annette Jacobs, president and CEO, Door To Door Storage. "In addition to providing logistical support, our employees will participate in the program's activities and we encourage our fellow community members to do so as well."
