Jermaine Wyrick selected for Detroit Urban Lutheran School Board

Detroit, MI (PRWEB) November 27, 2008 -- The Law Offices of Jermaine A. Wyrick P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Attorney Jermaine A. Wyrick was selected to the Detroit Urban Lutheran School Board of Directors for a three-year term. The Detroit Urban Lutheran School mission offers a quality, college-preparatory Christian education, helping each child to reach his/her greatest potential and prepare for life. The vision of the school is a kindergarten through 12th grade family, learning together, striving for excellence in Christian education.

Attorney Wyrick has practiced law since 1997. He graduated from the 8th grade of Detroit Urban Lutheran School in 1985. His commitment to helping people is apparent by his chosen areas of practice which include Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, Juvenile Law, and Probate Law.

Attorney Wyrick has lectured in various places, including Lorman Education Services, the Northville Psychiatric Hospital, and the Detroit Branch NAACP George W. Crockett Community Law School.

Attorney Wyrick's awards include the Pepsi "Everyday Freedom Hero" Award; "Civil Rights and Education" United States Attorney's Office Black HIstory Month Award, and the "Five under Ten" Award from the University of Michigan African American Alumni Council.

He is currently a member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the National Bar Association, and the Wolverine Bar Association.

His other civic activities, includes the Coleman A. Young Scholarship Foundation - Board of Directors, Real Men Cook 2007, and the Miss Teen Detroit, 2007, 2008.
