Cape Fox Professional Services Wins $5.8 Million Delivery Order for MK-93 Machine Gun Mounts

Cape Fox Professional Services Receives $5.8 Million from TACOM to produce 3,150 MK-93 machine gun mounts.

Manassas, VA (PRWEB) November 26, 2008 -- The Manufacturing and Engineering Divisions of Cape Fox Professional Services (CFPS) was awarded a fifth delivery order by the U.S. Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) for manufacturing the MK-93 Mod 2 machine gun mount. The contract award, valued at $5.8 million, calls for the production of 3,150 additional mounts.

The Mk93 Heavy Machine Gun Mounting System is used to lessen the recoil of heavy weapons like the 40mm MK19 Grenade Machine Gun (GMG), thereby improving accuracy. The mount attaches to a tripod for infantry use, but is typically used as part of a vehicular mount.

Production and assembly of the mounts will take place in CFPS' manufacturing facility located in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Estimated completion is July 31, 2009. Upon delivery of this order, CFPS will have produced over 10,000 mounts for TACOM.

Cape Fox Professional Services (CFPS) was certified for participation in the SBA 8(a) Program on November 12, 2003 as an ANC 8(a) and certified in December 2003 as a HUBZone Small Business. Today, CFPS provides value-driven advanced technology business solutions to public and private organizations. To learn more about CFPS, visit www.capefoxit.com.
