WAS PRODUCTIONS announces its signature automotive series CHOP CUT REBUILD…with Dan Woods has been renewed for a 6th season with the FOX specialty network: SPEED Channel.

November 27, 2008 -- WAS Productions announces its signature automotive series Chop Cut Rebuild…with Dan Woods has been renewed for a 6th season with the FOX specialty network: SPEED Channel.

Production for the 6th season of the critically acclaimed, audience favorite automotive build and restore show Chop Cut Rebuild will begin this coming January, with new episodes scheduled to premier early next summer. Executive producer, Dan Woods applauded the work of Was Productions' staff and crew. Woods added, "We're thrilled to begin a sixth year with SPEED. We have enjoyed a great relationship with everyone at the network. They have helped shape and improve our series year after year. Our staff, sponsors, and viewers are testimony to the dedication we have enjoyed from the outset more than half a decade ago."

Since 2004, Chop Cut Rebuild has delivered a team of hand-picked builders and technicians who bring exciting projects and enthusiastic insight in every episode. The series has developed into a cornerstone program and audience favorite for SPEED. WAS Productions is proud to be packaging thirteen new episodes for next season including the 100th episode in 2009. Woods commented, "Surpassing one hundred episodes is a milestone few in this industry have the luxury of achieving. It's going to be an exciting year."

The production company has begun selecting project vehicles for the new season. In past years the series featured shops and builders from San Diego to Allentown PA. Next season production will exclusively focus on high profile Hollywood car makers to deliver a west coast muscle theme.

It promises to be another great season of wrenching to the wire with Real Cars, Real Techs, and Real TV…with CHOP CUT REBUILD starting summer 2009 on SPEED. Catch the current season weekdays and on Saturday mornings during the Castrol Engine Block on SPEED.
