Liaison Technologies, a global business-to-business (B2B) integration services provider, announced today the planned release of Contivo Chameleon 1.0. This will be the first in a series of new integration map conversion products geared towards helping companies dramatically simplify their data migration efforts.

"Liaison is committed to delivering tools and services to help companies migrate to a portable mapping format that can preserve their intellectual property and expand their future integration options," said Bob Renner, CEO of Liaison Technologies. "With our acquisition of Contivo, Inc. earlier this year, Liaison is in a unique position to fulfill that vision."

Contivo Chameleon will be the latest product to join Liaison's market-leading Contivo software suite. The product will simplify the data integration process by enabling the migration of maps and business logic from legacy EDI Translators to an open and portable format.

Users of the Contivo Chameleon product will be able to automate the conversion of maps maintained in legacy translators, thereby minimizing significant effort and cost associated with such conversations. This new capability also allows clients to begin to take advantage of both Java and XSLT.

"The technology landscape is ever changing and companies are looking for ways to take advantage of new, more effective SOA solutions without costly rework," said Bruce Chen, CTO of Liaison Technologies. "With mapping costs accounting for 40% or more of B2B integration projects, companies are often locked into aging and proprietary EDI translators, B2B platforms and EIA software due to the high cost of migration and specifically re-mapping. Contivo Chameleon will allow companies to break through previously prohibitive switching barriers and enable unprecedented portability and choice for integration solutions and services."

Beta testing is planned for later this year and Contivo Chameleon version 1.0 will be released in General Availability (GA) during 1Q09.
