Clipper Windpower, Inc. ("Clipper") today announced the appointment of John A. Lamb, Esq. as President and Chief Executive Officer of Clipper Windpower Development Company, Inc., effective September 1, 2008. Lamb brings extensive project joint venture and sales experience to Clipper.

"With twenty-plus years in wind sector related finance, mergers and acquisitions, coupled with his proven negotiation and organizational abilities, John's expertise will be invaluable as Clipper continues to actively pursue joint venture partnerships in large-scale wind project developments with premier strategic and financial partners."

Prior to joining Clipper, Mr. Lamb acted as special corporate legal counsel for a number of Clipper's high-profile transactions, including the Titan joint venture transaction which represents more than 5,000 MW of wind energy development capacity and is the world's largest wind energy project under development. Earlier, Mr. Lamb was in private legal practice where he represented wind power developers and other entities involved in the wind power industry. He also served as General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel of Enron Wind Corp. from 1997 to 2004. Mr. Lamb received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and his JD and Masters of Business Taxation degrees from the University of Southern California.
