We are thrilled to be a part of this venture with Jonnie, Ardi, and MC to revive Sushi on Sunset as a brand
Los Angeles (PRWEB) December 1, 2008
Once again, the Sunset Strip plays host to one of LA's finest sushi restaurants with the re-opening of West Hollywood landmark, Sushi On Sunset.
During in its heyday, Sushi on Sunset entertained the likes of Motley Crue, Guns and Roses, and Van Halen -- a tradition that continues at the hand of new owners Jonnie Forster, Ardi Entezam, Michael Charles, and the addition of the restaurant's new financial partners, David Salzberg and Christian Tureaud, both veterans of the Hollywood community and entertainment industry. In conjunction with ownership, the duo plans on re-establishing and expanding the Sushi on Sunset brand, highlighted by an innovative East/West Fusion menu courtesy of Chef Tetsuro Ahn and Culinary Director Rod Aglibot, formerly of Koi.
Salzberg and Tureaud bring with them a wealth of expertise both in the business and entertainment worlds each with over a decade of experience working in the areas of creative development, production, financing, distribution, and marketing for various entertainment properties. Salzberg served as President of both the Mandalay Sports Action Entertainment and Mandalay Integrated Media Entertainment divisions, and was an Executive there for nearly ten years.
Already, from their entertainment contacts, Salzberg and Tureaud have secured Sushi On Sunset as the venue for the "Running the Sahara" premiere party. "Running the Sahara," a feature documentary that follows three men in their attempt to become the first humans to run coast to coast across the Sahara Desert, was Executive Produced by Academy Award-Winner Matt Damon, Directed by Academy Award-Winner, James Moll, and Scored by Academy Award-Winner, Hans Zimmer. Additionally, Salzberg and Tureaud are involved as co-executive producers on the project, which will be released in the coming months.
"We are thrilled to be a part of this venture with Jonnie, Ardi, and MC to revive Sushi on Sunset as a brand," said Partner David Salzberg. "We are so enthusiastic about our new association with such an iconic establishment and we look forward to helping the brand catapult into a must frequent LA experience.
Aside from their experience with Mandalay Entertainment Group, Salzberg and Tureaud have created and developed a number of high profile branded entertainment vehicles for companies including Visa, Subway, Volvo and Motorola and have forged successful business deals with well-known conglomerates Warner Bros., Universal Studios and Viacom. Following their entrepreneurial spirit, the two decided to launch their own multimedia entertainment company, HighRoad Entertainment. In less than one year, HighRoad Entertainment, under the guidance of Salzberg and Tureaud, has completed production on the movie "The Perfect Game" set for theatrical release by LionsGate in early 2009 and announced its second production "Angel of Oxnard" with Cheech Marin starring and directing.
The HighRoad Entertainment Group (HREG) is based at Universal City, California. HREG is a full-service entertainment company that produces, distributes, markets, and supports entertainment content in all mediums worldwide.
