Popular website serving international families in Italy expands to include Liguria, Umbria, and the Campania

Within six months of its launch in May 2008, site traffic on exceeded 5,000 visitors, with over 14,000 pages viewed monthly. Grassroots by design, this growing online resource provides international families traveling to or living in Italy with a wide range of information on travel, relocation, schooling, childcare, entertainment, extracurricular activities, local playgrounds and parks, current events, health care, and much more.

Expat parents and school administrators throughout Italy have recognized the need that strives to fulfill. One such parent, Denise Buren, a teacher at the American School of Milan, notes: "As an expat living in Milan for 9 years now, becoming a mom 2 years ago has changed a lot of things. Finding great kid links is definitely not easy, especially in a city that is not considered particularly baby friendly. is a great resource for moms and families, covering a wide-span of information in English. I learned a lot just browsing through different categories and will be sure to pass it on to all my mamma-friends."

Publisher Shannon Venable has seen the growth of "fueled in part by an outpouring of support and encouragement from the international and local communities." She envisions the site's purpose in terms of a traditional exchange among parents and community members of authoritative, reliable information necessary for raising a family, yet articulated in a modern, global context.

Acknowledging the importance of families' needs on holiday and as expatriates in Italy, will continue expanding in the coming months to include additional regions.
