New Archive Service Provides Intuitive Interface to Engage Viewers and Improve Use of Webinar Archives

Avitage, http://www.avitage.com and http://www.presentationselect.com, a business communications services company, announced today a complementary low-cost service for the Citrix® GoToWebinar (TM) platform that improves the standard GoToWebinar archive output.

"When running a GoToWebinar, subscribers can automatically produce archives of their events," explains Marc McNamara VP of Programs and Services at Avitage. "GoToWebinar is a great system and it does a good job of recording the original event. But, the Windows Media® file (WMF) format is a poor archive. It's a completely linear experience without a table of contents or the ability to instantly get to a specific section of the program. Our studies show this creates user frustration and reduces the time people spend viewing archives."

For marketers and trainers, the webinar archive is an extremely important way to allow viewers to review complex topics and messages, so they are understood and internalized. Having these archives work effectively provides tremendous value to marketing and training efforts.

Jim Burns, CEO of Avitage, comments "Webinar content is too valuable not to provide a better experience to the viewer. We've started this service because our GoToWebinar customers have really appreciated the archives we've produce for them after running their events. They tell us they also like the ability to deliver linked documents in a single archive package."

The Avitage GoToWebinar archive service delivers a streaming and downloadable Flash® program with an intuitive interface that provides an engaging user experience. Customers simply upload their existing GoToWebinar recording to a secure site and, in less than 24 hours, Avitage provides a Flash archive, MP3 podcast and PDF files of all visual materials with hosted delivery for one full year.

The cost of an Avitage archive is $349. Additional webinar production and support services are also available.
